We have over 50 professionals at our locations in China (Shanghai &
Beijing), the United Kingdom (London), Germany (Munich) and Australia
(Melbourne) and we are focused on continually developing new ways to reduce
emissions through both the compliance and voluntary carbon markets.
Our projects to date include wind, hydro, energy efficiency, waste heat
recovery, animal methane, landfill gas and coal mine methane emission
reductions, and ultra-super critical power generation.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Position: Carbon Project Manager
Location: Shanghai, Beijing, China
Position type: Full time

Starting Date for position: Immediately
Responsibilities:
a) Travelling all over China to visit and evaluate Climate Bridge’s
emission reduction projects;
b) Liaising with project developers, local government officials and other
bodies to gain access to critical project information such as environmental
impact assessments, feasibility studies, etc...
c) Multiple research assignments, predominantly with regard to CDM
application procedures, methodologies, emission caps and global
environmental policy, as well as on other issues relevant to the carbon
markets;
d) Helping to maintaining Climate Bridge Ltd’s internal database of
emission reduction projects;
e) Researching the cost and installation time of various forms of
equipment to reduce carbon emissions in China (e.g. equipment for methane
gas capture and destruction, wind turbines, etc.) ;
f) Helping to verify the credentials of Climate Bridge’s emission
reduction projects, according to internal environmental standards ;
g) Helping to keep the company Web site fresh and up-to-date.
Requirements:
a) Degree in engineering, environmental sciences or equivalent scientific
disciplines;
b) Intimate familiarity with the CDM process, including having been the
developer/reviewer/auditor of CDM projects across all major regulatory
steps (LoA, Validation, Registration, Issuance);
c) Experience as DOE auditor and/or renewable energy/energy efficiency
project manager is considered an asset;
d) Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills; strong
business sense;
e) Fluency in Mandarin Chinese;
f) Good command of English, especially reading and writing;
g) Capable of multi-tasking and coping under pressure in a dynamic working
environment;
h) Willingness to travel;
