The Office Mobile Shared Services (OMSS) team is looking for smart, motivated, and passionate people to help us define the next Office Mobile experiences. We are a newly formed team in the Office product group and our goal is to enable the best mobile productivity experiences for our customers. To achieve this goal we are looking at building applications, rolling out new services, forging deep partnerships and alliances, and deeply integrating the Office experiences across mobile platforms.
The Office Mobile Shared Services - China team is a new extension to the OMSS team with an aggressive charter to deliver core services to millions of users in less than 1 year from now.
We are looking for a talented PM Lead with great leadership skills and a passion for agility, quality, efficiency, and the desire and ability to learn new techniques and drive innovation. We invite you to lead and build a dedicated team of high-caliber individuals who greatly enjoy working together as we deliver on our technology in this fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Build and lead a growing PM team.
Help define and drive process integration between China and Redmond.
Work with the Redmond PM and Product Management team to set product direction for the products developed in China.
Coordinate communication between the wide range of teams involved in our projects in Redmond and around the world.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management and/or product feature specification roles with at least 2 years of those including a team management function.
Proven track record of building great teams.
Experience in leading software projects, client or web service development, an understanding of the unique challenges the mobile application space presents and experience in working with OEMs and/or operators is highly desirable.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, strong oral and written English is a priority with the ability to communicate orally in Mandarin highly desirable.
The ability to move to Beijing, China and travel to the US several times a year.
